Major gifts don’t happen right away. If it were as easy as introducing yourself to a potential donor and asking for a big gift of financial support for the programs and services of your nonprofit, we wouldn't need a workshop. But, there is a reason they call this "development." It is the process through which we identify, cultivate, solicit and steward the gifts from major investors in our organizations.
OnBoard: Being Prepared to Serve
April 10, 9 am - 2 pm
Are you interested in learning more about serving on a nonprofit board?
This interactive session, led by the CNM's expert trainers, will prepare participants for successful board service and facilitate matching them with organizations that share their interests and seek board candidates. Participants who complete the session will gain knowledge of the following: understanding the purpose and leadership responsibilities of board members; the financial practices of nonprofits; and boards’ roles in the community as spokespeople and fundraisers. They’ll also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with nonprofits that are seeking board members.
