Kara Duke

Kara Duke joined CNM in 2022 as the Director of Development & Marketing, previously serving as the Development & Membership Manager with the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM). 

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication & Theatre from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, Kara has spent 15+ years working in higher education and nonprofits as a highly motivated and creative professional, leading and effectively managing projects that result in meeting organizational objectives and increased revenue.   

Kara loves collaborating and building bridges to help bring positive change to the community. She is excited to partner with nonprofits and corporations to ensure overall success for Middle Tennessee’s nonprofit sector. 

As a Nashville – Native, Kara is a lover of music and museums. She also enjoys traveling, event planning, and music festivals. Most weekends, you can find her with family and friends exploring new restaurants and live music venues in Nashville.
