She and her husband moved have been proud residents of Tennessee for two years now, and have really loved all that this beautiful state offers. They love Nashville and all that this lively, boisterous, exciting city has to offer.

She joined the CNM family in September, 2019 as an intern while she was getting her Master’s in Social Work. After a few months, she joined the CNM full time as the Manager of Education. She has a passion for equity, inclusion, social justice and advocacy. She is excited to be at CNM and has loved the team, the mission and the role that CNM is playing to bring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to all of Middle Tennessee via workshops.

Ali got her B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Mary Washington, where she first met her husband Mike back in 2008. After she graduated, she worked in the nonprofit sector for 7 years which really instilled the love that she has for nonprofits. Her passion was working with families and connecting them with valuable resources throughout the D.C. community. She learned how pivotal and crucial community resources are, and is thrilled to be working at a place that supports the professional development of all employees in the nonprofit sector. She’s excited to be working at an organization which is able to reach hundreds of nonprofit organizations, who in turn have such an impact throughout all of the Middle TN community.

She and Mike love to explore, travel and discover hidden gems of TN. Some favorites include hiking Cummins Falls, going to a live concert at Ascend Amphitheater and playing sand volleyball at Sandbar. Ali loves all music, and her Spotify playlists range from Shakira, Kip Moore, Chris Stapleton, and Avicii. She appreciates a great cup of coffee, dark chocolate, and Caribbean food.
