Job Summary

Who We Are: Established in 1983, the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence is a non-profit organization with the mission to end domestic and sexual violence in the lives of Tennesseans and to change societal attitudes and institutions that promote and condone violence, through public policy advocacy, education and activities that increase the capacity of programs and communities to address such violence. Serving as the state resource center on domestic and sexual violence, we foster statewide partnerships, develop effective programs, provide legal services and emergency financial assistance to survivors, and advocate for social change to end rape and abuse.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working with the Director of Training and Capacity Building, creating and executing a plan to ensure domestic and sexual violence member programs have access to high-quality training on the best practices of COVID-19 mitigation and disaster preparedness. Related outputs include but are not limited to the development of social media posts, newsletters, live webinars, policy manuals, and in-person workshops
  • Assist with the planning and execution of the Coalition’s Annual Conference, the Tommy Burks Victim Assistance Academy, webinars, and in-person workshops
  • Manage registration for Tommy Burks Assistance Academy, Annual Conference, and webinars
  • Serve as point of contact for training registrants and attendees prior to, during, and following events
  • Troubleshoot and follow through on technical assistance needs from training registrants and attendees.
  • Assist in organizing survey data and post-event reports for the Tommy Burks Assistance Academy and Annual Conference
  • Assist in the maintenance of and technical assistance related to the Coalition’s Learning Management System, including assisting in the development of new e-learnings
  • Provide engaging, high-quality training sessions for domestic and sexual violence professionals, utilizing both virtual and in-person methods
  • Coordinate the development of toolkits, curricula, and other resources to build program capacity throughout the state, with a special focus on COVID-19 mitigation and disaster preparedness
  • Assist with the facilitation of affinity group meetings, including the New Directors Roundtable, DV Directors Technical Assistance Meeting, and Sexual Assault Directors Technical Assistance Meeting
  • Coordinate with the Tennessee Office of Criminal Justice Programs to ensure member programs have the equipment necessary to implement disaster preparedness plans
  • Ensure that all grant deliverables are completed on time and that all grant reporting is accurate and timely
  • Maintain ongoing detailed records of completed tasks and progress on grant deliverables
  • Complete the annual FVPSA Supplemental Report and the annual FVPSA Disaster Relief Report
  • Ensure compliance with all grant policies and procedures, and provide technical assistance on grant compliance to member programs

Additional Information

Benefits

The position is full-time and reports to the Director of Training and Capacity Building. Remote work is possible within the state of Tennessee. Candidates must be able to come to Nashville for required meetings and planning sessions. The role will require occasional travel throughout Tennessee. The salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $55,000 based on experience. The position is grant-funded and anticipated to continue through 9/30/27.
