Do you love being outdoors in the summer? Are you curious about nature and enjoy sharing discoveries with youth? Then consider joining the summer naturalist team!
Friends of Warner Parks and the Warner Park Nature Center are looking for a summer Naturalist Camp Leader who will work with our Environmental Education Program to provide outdoor exploration camps to youth ages 6-10 years.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise 7 weeks of half and full-day summer camps for youth ages 6-10 years, where you will:
- Learn and share naturalist skills
- Develop and deliver outdoor recreation and nature activities
- Model Nature Center values
- Communicate professionally with campers, parents, and staff
Time Period: May 22 – August 4 (start and end time flexible, July 3-7 off)
Qualifications
- Ability to walk long distances
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience working directly with children (3 years preferred)
- CPR and first aid certification
