Job Summary

The Nashville Hispanic Bar Association is seeking a Program Administrator for our Eviction Right to Counsel Project in Nashville for a one-year term beginning July 1, 2024. The Eviction Right to Counsel Project is an innovative pilot program funded through a grant from the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to provide legal representation to low- and moderate-income tenants facing eviction in Davidson County. The purpose of the program is to ensure equity and inclusion in the legal system. This position is funded for one year with the possibility of continued employment based on continued funding. The salary and benefits listed below are for full-time employment, but we are open to considering applicants looking for part-time employment.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for a broad range of directorial-level duties related to the planning, implementation, and supervision of the Eviction Right to Counsel Program;
  • Strategic planning and development to support the Eviction Right to Counsel project through community partnerships, grant opportunities, developing strategic plans, etc.
  • Management/ Supervision of intake and outreach processes and efforts to improve efficiency.
  • Management and liaison of subgrantee contracts including oversight of reporting.
  • Development and tracking of programmatic goals.
  • Grant writing, compliance, and reporting.
  • Representing the Eviction Right to Counsel program in community outreach/ education efforts.
  • Interacting with clients as needed.
  • Development of website.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the legal director.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience in non-profit management.
  • Grant reporting experience.
  • Must be sensitive and committed to serving the needs of low-income people.
  • Commitment to justice and a willingness to learn.
  • The ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced legal office.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is a plus.
