Operation Andrew Group’s mission is to unite the body of Christ as we partner with the local church to love God and our neighbors. The purpose of this role is to be a leader of high integrity, passionate about equipping young professionals of Jesus’ followers to grow to reach their full potential by participating in a mentorship cohort for one year. Mentees can know Jesus better and be equipped to love and lead Middle Tennessee in a way that honors God and brings His kingdom to earth in a way that promotes the benefit of all people.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement initiatives to attract mentees to participate in the program, leveraging networks within educational institutions, community organizations, and online platforms.
  • Effectively communicate program value by developing and executing a communication strategy utilizing various channels, including news articles, social media posts, and targeted outreach efforts for personal meetings.

  • Identify, recruit, and cultivate relationships with experienced mentors from diverse backgrounds, including business leaders, church members, and retirees, to ensure a robust mentor pool.
  • Track and analyze key metrics related to program participation, including the number of active mentees and mentors, their engagement in monthly meet-ups, and long-term outcomes such as community involvement and mentorship transitions
  • Serve as a member of the Operation Andrew Group (www.operationandrew.org) staff team and seek to 1) ensure the vision of and passion for the Oak Project is grasped by the larger organization 2) leverage OAG’s resources and relationships and 3) balance and create synergies with the other ministries and initiatives of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Follower of Jesus active in a local congregation
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • Proven experience in program coordination, volunteer management, or related roles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and effective and persuasive presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the value of mentoring and engage diverse stakeholders through various channels.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a track record of successfully executing initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated passion for mentoring, community development, and empowering young professionals to integrate their faith into the workplace.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of generational differences and the complex issues being faced in today’s world.
  • Proven and demonstrated ability to work with young adults and generations across diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, project management, and fundraising software/tools

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This role is a part-time position scheduled to work 24 hours per week, with the potential to be full-time as Oak Project grows. Once full-time, this position will be classified as an exempt-level director.

  • Hybrid schedule of one day or half day in the office, other remote. Office days and hours are subject to change to adapt to the needs of the ministries.
  • Office hours are 8:30 to 4:30, but occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
  • Christ-centered team that thrives in partnering together.
  • Duties are subject to change to address the needs of the organization.
