Job Summary

Greenways for Nashville is a nonprofit organization, partnered with the Metro Parks Department, whose mission is to raise awareness and private support for the creation, preservation, and promotion of public greenway trails and open spaces in Davidson County.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for marketing and communications strategy execution for the organization’s website, social media, email and print newsletters, promotion for events, Nashville’s Greenways printed map, and other brand-related activities. The position also has responsibility for developing and cultivating community engagement programming.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage enhancement and growth of the organization’s website and social media platforms
  • Produces monthly e-newsletter, the annual printed newsletter, and outreach materials
  • Manage the creative development of promotional materials, advertisements, and other marketing‐related projects.
  • Collaborate with constituents and partners to advance promotional efforts
  • Direct strategic brand initiatives and ensure brand consistency in printed materials, social media, website, and other communications.
  • Coordinate a strategy for and assist in the planning of outreach events including trailhead pop-ups and participation in community festivals/events
  • Assist with the creation of event materials including invitations, banners, and other digital assets
  • Strategically and creatively develop approaches for targeting and engaging new stakeholder groups

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline with 7+ years of experience in a like position 
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word Press, and basic creative software
  • Social media and website management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Ability to prioritize, multi‐task, and be very flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • A Greenway user with basic knowledge of conservation issues
