Job Summary

Matthew 25 is a Nashville, TN-based non-profit that serves homeless men, including veterans and those re-entering society from incarceration. Our program is designed to assist our residents with building a firm foundation, focusing on the individual achieving well-being and self-sufficiency. We are Trauma-Informed, recovery-oriented, and client-centered. Each resident has a treatment plan built specifically for them, meeting as many needs as possible. Our overall goal is to see our residents move into permanent, stable housing, equipped with the skills to maintain their housing, sobriety, and overall well-being.

Matthew 25 is seeking a clinician to facilitate a new on-site Intensive Outpatient (IOP) class for our residents. The IOP class will be a dual diagnosis, focusing on an individual’s substance use and mental health. Classes will be 4-5 days a week and will follow a curriculum where completion occurs in approximately 12 weeks. As a part of the IOP program, each resident will also receive individual therapy at least once a week.

Position Summary: The IOP Clinician will be a full-time position in the office. The clinician will be responsible for completing clinical assessments, facilitating groups 4-5 days a week, and engaging in individual therapy sessions. The Clinician will also engage in crisis intervention when necessary.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Complete clinical intake assessments on new enrollees, including other mental health screenings.
  • Assist in the creation of the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) program, including providing input for the curriculum and schedule.
  • Facilitate IOP groups 4-5 days a week as agreed upon by the administrative staff.
  • Engage in weekly individual therapy sessions with all IOP enrollees, as well as other residents who are referred.
  • Evaluate residents’ physical or mental health conditions and work with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment interventions.
  • Attend all staff meetings.
  • Complete all documentation in a timely manner.
  • Professional verbal and written communication with staff and administration.
  • Complete crisis evaluations in emergency situations with any resident.
  • Make appropriate referrals to outside agencies for continued or extra support.
  • Attend organizational staff meetings and fundraising events.
  • Complete necessary training at the time of hire and throughout employment, including any requirements to maintain licensure for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must hold a valid professional license in accordance with the State of Tennessee. Acceptable licenses include but are not limited to LCSW, LMSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, and LADAC.
  • Candidates should hold a master’s degree in mental health or behavioral health services fields. Lived experience (substance use and/or homelessness) with proper licensure and experience may be accepted in place of the degree requirement.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the office.
  • Must be available for shift schedule provided upon hire.
  • The job requires standing, sitting, walking, and potentially lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Preferences:

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and/or substance use, or Veterans.
  • Experience facilitating an IOP group.
  • Computer skills in Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and basic notetaking software or ability to learn.
