Job Summary

Perform day-to-day financial tasks for the church and its bookstore

Job Responsibilities

  • Reconcile bank statements for all accounts
  • Process accounts payable
  • Post deposits and receipts to the general ledger
  • Coordinate fieldwork with 3rd party auditors
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Prepare monthly Treasurer’s Report
  • Provide monthly expenditure reports for staff as requested
  • Track employee and volunteer compliance with policies such as those for Safeguarding God’s Children, background checks, cyber risks, etc.
  • Handle all purchasing

For St. George’s Bookstore, use Quickbooks to:

  • Prepare all deposits
  • Process accounts payable
  • Maintain perpetual inventory records
  • Conduct annual physical inventory count
  • Prepare, report, and pay monthly sales tax liability
  • Maintain general ledger


  • Minimum 2 years experience performing financial-related tasks
  • Proficient using ACS, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Office Excel
  • Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate within a team-oriented  environment
  • Creativity, adaptability, and resourcefulness
