Job Summary

Collaborate  with staff in Division of Schools/Curriculum and Instruction, Strategic Investments and community partners to provide staffing and support for after school, summer and other extended learning programs.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities:  List, in the order of importance or time spent, the essential duties/tasks performed by the position.  This is not an exhaustive list and employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required. Regular and reliable attendance is an expectation of the job.

Job Duty/Resp. 1:    Collaborate with district departments and stakeholders to implement and manage district initiatives, programs, and partnerships related to extended learning and summer programs and support goals and outcomes.

Job Duty/Resp. 2:    Work to develop and maintain community organization partnerships to encourage participation in and support for Extended Learning programs.

Job Duty/Resp. 3:    Provide procurement, contracting and fiscal oversight of Extended Learning programs and all associated grants and funding. Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal funding requirements.

Job Duty/Resp. 4:    Collaborate with district staff and partners for the coordinated delivery of meals for all Extended Learning and summer programs.

Job Duty/Resp. 5:    Manage information and programming on the Extended Learning division website.

Job Duty/Resp. 6:    Supervise and evaluate staff in the Extended Learning division.

Job Duty/Resp. 7:    Assist with the coordination and alignment of Support Services programming provided by Cluster Support Teams, Family Resource Centers, and Community Achieves Site Managers.

Job Duty/Resp. 8:    Coordinate the implementation of professional development for partners and providers that is aligned to district strategies and core tenets.

Job Duty/Resp. 9:    Coordinate the collection, reporting, and use of evaluation and data to inform program and resource delivery. Supervise the implementation of continuous program quality improvement efforts at the system and school level.

Qualifications

Education (training/degree)Required minimum: Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration or related field required.  Master’s degree preferred.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Required: Not applicable

Experience: Minimum of 4 years total applicable experience in education, child care or aftercare setting.  Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in program development and leadership in the field of after school programming. Demonstrated progression into leadership roles.

Skills Required: Familiarity and prior experience working with leadership in governmental, non-profit and for-profit community entities.  Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working partnerships designed to achieve common goals.  Exceptional organizational skills and familiarity with generally accepted software for use in office settings.
