Job Summary

TPAC is a nonprofit performing arts organization and cultural anchor providing enriching arts experiences for all ages, empowering lifelong arts education programs, artistic expression reflective of our community, arts connections that support the local economy, and sustainable support for professional resident companies and local artists.

OBJECTIVE

The Director, Capital Campaign is to manage the daily operation and secure philanthropic support for the Be Bold. Build TPAC Capital Campaign.

Job Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate production of campaign materials for campaign-related meetings and events.
  • Develop and maintain accurate reports of comprehensive campaign commitments.
  • Formulate proposals and presentations for capital campaign meetings and events.
  • Maintain an updated list of naming opportunities.
  • Manage records of campaign gifts and pledges.
  • Direct invoicing of capital pledges
  • Prepare donor acknowledgments for pledges and gifts.
  • Research and write proposals and other communication tools for donors and prospects.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and print materials to explain and promote the development of TPAC and specific projects underway or planned.
  • Write quarterly communication to capital prospects and donors.
  • Attend Campaign Steering Committee meetings and complete minutes.
  • Support the Chief Campaign Officer and Campaign Steering Committee as needed to move the campaign forward.
  • Prepare Investor’s Report.
  • Contribute articles as needed for TPAC publications regarding Be Bold. Build TPAC Capital Campaign
  • Conduct personal tours as needed, including an overall history of TPAC.
  • Work with others throughout the organization to implement and exemplify policies as part of TPAC’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, access, and equity.

The responsibilities listed above are not all-inclusive. Other related duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Innovation, creativity, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Capacity to balance multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Must have the ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential and personal information.  Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Tessitura.

SOFTWARE AND SERVICES USED

Microsoft Office Suite, and Tessitura 

FREQUENT FUNCTIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequent Functions: Work in an office environment. Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
