Job Summary
The Center for Living and Learning (CLL) is seeking Direct Care Staff with part-time shift openings that could open to full time employment with benefits. We would love to speak with applicants who want to be a part of our positive and supportive team who puts the residents first.
CLL is a nonprofit residential treatment facility that provides 24-hour care for persons with mental illness(es) and/or physical challenges on a serene 30-acre farm on Old Hillsboro Road in Franklin, TN. Our goal is to provide the highest quality of care and support for each resident in a vibrant and positive community setting. We use a structured and supportive living environment that promotes responsibility, self-care and self-respect in our residents
We are currently hiring for Friday and Sunday Overnights
- Night Shifts are scheduled from 5p-8a. Direct care staff have their own bedroom and bathroom. Staff are allowed to sleep on duty when the residents sleep. This shift is compensated at a flat rate of 140$ a night.
- Day shifts are scheduled from 8a-5p. The compensation rate is 15$ an hour.
Direct care staff are responsible for providing house supervision and support for a household of 8 residents. Each resident at the Center is a willing and active participant in their program, med-compliant, stabilized, and pursuing personal goals. Staff has recourse to on-site support from on-call staff.

Job Responsibilities
- Cultivate supportive and trusting relationships with residents
- Assist residents complete their activities of daily living as independently as possible using our Token Economy system
- Facilitate the scheduled program activities on your shift
- Prepare and dispense medication according to prescribed schedule
- Maintain cleanliness of the house on your shift
- Communicate with Management about resident needs, progress and incidents that come up during shift
- Attend to staff communications about Center programming, resident updates and other things.
- Comply with TDMHSAS policies and procedures in conjunction with rules and regulations of CLL
- Carry out additional assignments as needed/required by management
Qualifications
- Candidates must be 21+ years old
- Possess a high school diploma
- Have at least two years’ relevant experience
- Current and valid first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain it).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- All candidates are subject to a background check
