Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

Coordinates Program Development

  1. Facilitates Leadership Law Steering Committee Meetings; assists in selecting meeting locations and venues; assists in developing agenda, prepares meeting materials; coordinates meeting logistics.
  2. Supports development of Leadership Law curriculum/programming; provides input based on past program and research of other leadership development programs.
  3. Supports development of program content by session leaders and presenters; prepares/compiles materials.
  4. Coordinates recruitment of panelists and speakers.

Coordinates Planning of Events

  1. Participates in selection of Leadership Law seminar/program dates and locations.
  2. Facilitates planning committee meetings for design of programs.
  3. Plans and implements program sessions, special events, including dinners, group activities, and hospitality suites.
  4. Arranges, with assistance of Meetings Director, hotels and other meeting venues, negotiates and contracts with caterers and other suppliers to schedule events and services.
  5. Coordinates staffing of program sessions by volunteers.

Executes Program Administration

  1. Supports development of promotional materials; coordinates production with Publications Coordinator; coordinates distribution.
  2. Supports participant nomination and selection process.
  3. Coordinates communications with class members; maintains records of participation.
  4. Serves as resource for Leadership Law information; serves as liaison to other TBA staff.
  5. Reviews requests for speaker /producer reimbursement and vendor/supplier invoices for accuracy; approves for payment.
  6. Assists in developing budget; monitors adherence to budget.

Coordinates Program Delivery

  1. Serves as liaison with hotel and venue staff to ensure events proceed according to plan and to meet needs of attendees; schedules and coordinates activities of volunteers.
  2. Ensures required A/V equipment is set up and that program materials are distributed.

Coordinates Fund Raising for Leadership Law Program

  1. Identifies potential sponsorships or other fund-raising opportunities; responds to inquiries from potential sponsors.
  2. Coordinates selection of sponsors with committees.
  3. Supports Steering Committee solicitation of potential contributors.
  4. Maintains related records.

Coordinates Alumni Activities

  1. Facilitates Leadership Law Program alumni committee meetings.
  2. Plans logistics for receptions and meetings; coordinates with CLE courses if scheduled with events.
  3. Conducts annual alumni dues collection campaign.

Implements the Production of Electronic Newsletter (Two Days A Week)

  1. Gathers relevant news items from staff and other sources; writes, proofreads and edits as needed.
  2. Consults with supervisor and Executive Director concerning review and approval of items.
  3. Coordinates posting to website and distribution through email and other channels.
  4. Help monitor and respond to customer service-related inquiries from members and the public

Coordinates Social Media for TBA

  1. Develops social media marketing strategies to support TBA marketing objectives.
  2. Coordinates, monitors and measures implementation of TBA social media strategies to ensure they are meeting TBA goals for news, marketing and member support.
  3. Generates, edits, publishes and shares daily content (original text, images or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement with TBA members.
  4. Moderates user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
  5. Creates editorial calendars and schedules for staff submissions.
  6. Collaborates with other departments (programs, CLE, public policy, etc.) to manage reputation and content.
  7. Contributes content to blog.

Serves as Executive Producer of the TBA Podcast Network

  1. Produces content for all five shows in the podcast network: TBA BarBuzz, Sidebar, HealthyBar, Legislative Updates and the YLD podcast.
  2. Plans content and speakers for each episode, books speakers and schedules interviews, writes scripts for all shows
  3. Serves as on-air host of BarBuzz, Sidebar and HealthyBar
  4. Edits each episode and sends final product for approval
  5. Responsible for the publishing and marketing of each approved episode

OTHER JOB DUTIES

Performs other job duties as assigned, including:

  1. Assists in ensuring that the TBA meeting facilities are orderly and properly supplied for various TBA and member meetings as needed.
  2. Performs other related duties as required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The incumbent works in an office environment.  Occasional overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: The required knowledge, skill, and abilities to satisfactorily perform job duties are normally acquired through attainment of a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of training and development or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
