Job Summary
This position is with the Nashville Public Library Foundation and involves teaching basic digital literacy skills classes. It is grant-funded and part-time. English and Bilingual speakers are needed.
Job Responsibilities
Teach adult basic computer skills classes both at library locations and at partner sites. There may be other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Some college or professional training is required.
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license. Ability to travel to various library locations or partner sites throughout the city.
- Experience using computers, the Internet, and email as well as downloading apps onto mobile devices.
- Familiarity with Internet Safety, Privacy, and Security.
- Ability to teach computer skills to adult learners of diverse ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.
- Knowledge of current technologies with a willingness to learn.
- Patience is a must.
- Knowledge of Nashville Public Library digital products is a plus.
