Job Summary

The position of Development Information & Stewardship Manager will play a key role in the Development team for the Andrew Jackson Foundation (AJF).  The position will collect, analyze, and synthesize data to grow membership and donor support. Oversee database management, including membership transactions, contribution entry, and gift fulfillment for Annual Fund and Campaign efforts. In concert with the Senior Vice President and Development Director, the position will create and execute reports, lists, and extractions for Membership and Donor activities. Oversight and growth of the AJF membership program will drive the day-to-day duties of this individual. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure data integrity by developing data entry procedures for Tessitura
  • Cross-train development staff regarding data entry and gift acknowledgment
  • Enter gifts and create new database elements for gift and donor information as needed
  • Run donor reports and queries to create lists of various kinds
  • Prepare donor thank you letters for signatures and mailing
  • Refresh donor thank you letters periodically
  • Print donor profiles as needed and respond to database questions about donor records
  • Prepare donor pledge statements on an agreed schedule
  • Create and implement an annual plan to develop a vibrant membership program that achieves annual budget goals and provides membership engagement and satisfaction
  • Enter membership payments and gifts and update database information as needed
  • Run membership reports and queries to create lists of various kinds
  • Create new member cards for mailing to members
  • Prepare member thank you letters and get them signed and mailed
  • Prepare membership renewal reminders on an agreed schedule
  • Refresh membership thank you letters and reminder letters periodically
  • Print member profiles as needed and respond to database questions about member records
  • Conduct prospect and donor research

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience working in Tessitura/CRM software is required.
  • Experience expanding and managing membership program
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, but also as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside of the Foundation.
