Job Summary

The Tennessee World Affairs Council seeks a contract technical support specialist to organize, manage, maintain, and operate the TNWAC computer/virtual-based systems such as the TNWAC.org Web site, member and event databases, Zoom media, social media, newsletter services, email hosting, and related technical applications and media.

40 hours per month

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintained the TNWAC.org website (WordPress)including Webmaster duties such as: managing the hosting account; fixing Website errors; processing posts, pages, and other content; coordinating site updates; and compiling analytics.
  • Manage the TNWAC Little Green Light donor/event management program. 
  • Manage the TNWAC mail service, Mailchimp, including uploading outgoing newsletters and other media; maintain subscriber base; update template designs.
  • Manage the TNWAC external media applications; design content and post to TNWAC social media accounts. 
  • Assist TNWAC staff with Zoom meetings and webinars.
  • Manage TNWAC video, Podcast, and transcript services: record and perform post-production work to create content from TNWAC virtual and in-person events.
  • Manage posting and distribution of “Weekly Quiz” via Quiz-Maker, website, Mailchimp, and email to subscribers, to meet weekly production deadlines.
  • Maintain TNWAC Google Workspace email accounts management.
  • Assist TNWAC staff with technical support and advice

Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in website management, WordPress; Zoom; and social media content. Experience with or ability and readiness to learn TNWAC-specific applications and systems such as Little Green Light and Mailchimp.

Candidates should be team-oriented and have an interest in the TNWAC mission and an interest in knowing about the world.

Experience: One year experience and/or demonstrated proficiency in required skills
