Job Summary
Coordinates and maintains an effective TBA presence on all relevant social media platforms. Gathers news and court opinions for the TBA Today e-newsletter. Contributes content for the TBA.org website and other TBA publications. Produces, hosts, edits, publishes, and markets TBA’s podcasts.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates Social Media for TBA
- Develops social media marketing strategies to support TBA’s marketing objectives.
- Coordinates, monitors, and measures implementation of TBA social media strategies to ensure they are meeting TBA goals for news, marketing, and member support.
- Generates, edits, publishes, and shares daily content (original text, images, or video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages engagement with TBA members.
- Moderates user-generated content in line with applicable policies.
- Creates editorial calendars and schedules to manage content and timing of social media.
- Collaborates with other TBA staff and departments (e.g., Programs, CLE, Membership) to manage content.
- Interacts with posts from other legal organizations.
- Contributes to the Production of Electronic Newsletter
- Gather relevant news items from staff and other sources and write articles for the TBA Today electronic newsletter.
- Proofreads and edits newsletter content as needed.
- Gathers and formats court decisions for the newsletter. 4. Helps monitor and respond to customer service-related inquiries from members and the public.
- Produces TBA Podcasts
- Generates ideas for podcast content. Identifies, secures, schedules, and interviews guest speakers for each episode.
- Write scripts for all shows.
- Edits each episode and sends the final product for approval.
- Publishes and markets episodes.
- Contributes to Tennessee Bar Journal
- Gathers information for recurring content in the bi-monthly print publication.
- Occasionally writes special features and submits pictures.

Equipment Operated: Telephone, computer, printer, photocopier/scanner, postage meter, and camera. Must be comfortable with utilizing virtual platforms. Proficient in or able to learn Mac OS. Other equipment as required due to changes in office needs or technology.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment: The incumbent works in an office environment (currently hybrid). The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Occasional overnight travel is required. There will be times when more than 40 hours in a week and working unusual hours of the day and weekends will be required. VII. Qualifications Education and Experience: The knowledge, skills, and abilities to satisfactorily perform these job duties require at least three years of demonstrated experience in communications and social media. A high school diploma is required, and additional education that contributes to the competencies for this position is preferred.
