Job Summary
Provides care to assigned age groups of campers in a safe, secure, and fun day camp environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides daily care for campers.
- Assists the Lead Camp Counselor in organizing and leading daily activities.
- Modifies daily activities based on the needs and abilities of the campers.
- Assists the Lead Camp Counselor in responding to behavior issues appropriately.
- Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program and responds appropriately.
- Ensures that the assigned area is kept clean, organized, and free of litter.
Qualifications

- Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma (formerly General Education Degree GED), or 18 years of age. Summer camp experience preferred.
- Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software as well as the ability to learn new software and web-based applications.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider with skills testing certification required.
