Sunnyside Up Youth Pregnancy Services is seeking dedicated individuals to join our board and help shape the future of our organization. As a board member, you’ll play a crucial role in guiding our initiatives, ensuring our financial stability, and advocating for our mission within the community.

Sunnyside Up is dedicated to providing vital support and resources to young women and youth aged 13 to 25 facing pregnancy and life-changing events. Our mission is to empower and uplift these individuals by offering comprehensive pregnancy support, including in-person labor and postpartum assistance, breastfeeding services, mental health resources, and online educational classes. At Sunnyside Up, we believe in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every young person feels supported, valued, and equipped to navigate their journey into parenthood and beyond. Job Responsibilities

• Active Participation: Attend and actively engage in board meetings, committee gatherings, and organizational events
• Strategic Guidance: Provide valuable input to shape our goals, policies, and strategic plans.
• Financial Oversight: Review and approve our annual budget, financial reports, and strategic initiatives.
• Fundraising Support: Contribute to fundraising efforts by identifying potential donors, making personal contributions, and participating in fundraising events.
•  Community Advocacy: Serve as ambassadors for Sunnyside Up by promoting our mission and programs in the community and advocating for our goals and objectives.
•  Performance Monitoring: Monitor our organization’s performance and impact, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
•  Board Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment of new board members to ensure diverse perspectives and expertise.
• Fiduciary Responsibility: Act in the best interests of the organization and its constituents, fulfilling fiduciary duties with integrity and transparency.
• Stay Informed: Keep abreast of relevant issues, trends, and developments in the nonprofit sector and related fields.
• Confidentiality: Uphold confidentiality and maintain stakeholders’ trust by respecting sensitive information shared within the board and organization.
