Job Summary

Plan V is a brand-new nonprofit in search of board directors to help us grow quickly. Our mission is to improve contraceptive equity by providing vasectomy access and awareness for free.

Job Responsibilities

We know not one person can be responsible for all of the below, but based on interest and experience, below are some potential responsibilities of a Plan V board director:

  • Represent the voice of men and people of color
  • Provide reliable knowledge of vasectomies, urology, birth control, and reproductive healthcare
  • Provide expert guidance around bookkeeping, auditing, insurance, investing
  • Fundraising, connecting Plan V to private donors or corporate funding

Qualifications

Required:

  • Passion for mission: improving contraceptive equity by providing vasectomy access and awareness for free

Ideal but not required:

  • Male
  • BIPOC
  • Past experience in strategic planning for nonprofits
  • Past experience in staff development/HR for nonprofits
  • Healthcare professionals with knowledge of birth control and/or reproductive healthcare
  • Corporate affiliation, i.e. employee for HCA or other local corporations that have charitable funding
