Job Summary
Adolescent Admissions and Outreach Coordinator supports Cumberland Heights’ and ARCH Academy’s mission of
transforming lives, giving hope and healing to those affected by alcohol or drug addiction.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Adolescent Admissions Outreach Specialist will conduct admission screens and follow through to admission, serves as a liaison between ARCH Academy and the Middle Tennessee Community and referents, including public high schools, like-minded non-profit organizations, and criminal justice system, aid in cultivating new referral relations.
Job Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes some or all the following:
- Markets to the appropriate professionals in their assigned area to develop positive and reciprocal relationships with them, with focus on preventive and intermediate substance abuse services. Assist Executive Director in managing budget associated with business and outreach activities.
- Conducts individual and group tours and luncheons and schedules presentations as needed.
- Represents ARCH Academy at outside conferences, supporting general and program targeted marketing as assigned, in addition to promoting all Cumberland Heights programs. Identify opportunities to participate in community activities.
- Create and develop content for substance abuse prevention programming for both adolescents, school administration, families and other regional populations deemed necessary.
- Create and administer satisfaction and outcome surveys for prevention program participants, analyze the data to identify strengths and weaknesses of services.
- Conducts weekly phone contacts and face to face marketing contacts, maintaining records and following up at appropriate time intervals.
- Collects pre-screening information to facilitate the admission process and placement into appropriate levels of care or will make appropriate referrals to other organizations and programs as needed either on site or at IOP locations.
- Coordinates with Admissions to provide mobile adolescent assessments within their assigned region.
- Check patients benefits with insurance company when applicable.
- Coordinates and attends quality improvement activities including meeting attendance, reports, referral relations and interdepartmental liaison.
- Participate and contribute to ARCH Academy initiatives and projects.
- Implements policies and procedures related to their specific sites reviewing them interdepartmentally in conjunction with the Executive Director.
- Constructs monthly operating and marketing reports for assigned area.
- Ensures that a welcoming, safe and healing environment is maintained for each patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
- Recommends ways to improve the quality and delivery of services.
- Ensures proper handling and distribution of company funds.
- Maintains confidentiality of company and patient information.
- Reacts productively to change.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related area preferred; a
minimum of two (2) years marketing experience with behavioral healthcare experience preferred; and/or
equivalent education or experience in job related activities.
OTHER SKILLS
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds; ability to speak, hear, see, sit and reach; ability to speak, read and write in
English; good problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills; good written and oral communication
skills; organizational skills for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments; good supervisory
and motivational skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SATIS; knowledge of
state of the art drug/alcohol treatment options; knowledge of and ability to apply information regarding
cultural/age/population specific characteristics to patients in assigned area; ability to deescalate a person in
crisis in a calm and supportive manner; CPI, First Aid, and CPR certified or eligible. If recovering from an
addiction, two years verifiable abstinence required with five years preferred; active participation in the
appropriate Twelve Step program preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety
precautions. Position is in contact with persons who may be chemically impaired and/or volatile and
require additional safety precautions. In addition, position may work alone at times requiring additional
safety precautions. Position involves flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Position is subject
to long hours. Position may be subject to occasional travel.
