Music Health Alliance’s mission is to #HealTheMusic by providing access to healthcare through services that PROTECT, DIRECT, and CONNECT music professionals with medical and financial solutions. Based in Nashville, MHA is the only healthcare-centered nonprofit organization serving the music industry nationwide. We’ve provided healthcare advocacy and support at no cost to more than 25,000 clients and saved the music community more than $129M by providing advocacy and access to life-saving transplants, medicine, mental health resources, end-of-life care, and many other necessary services.

Job Responsibilities

The Advocate Coordinator (AC) plays a crucial role in supporting our healthcare advocates, serving our clients, and making a significant impact within the music community. The AC is on the frontline of MHA’s client services team providing essential client support.

Responsibilities range from identifying and expanding community resources to navigating health insurance policies, networks, and prescription coverage, researching and brainstorming to find healthcare solutions, negotiating medical bills, accessing relief funds, providing administrative support, and assisting in securing critical and life-saving care. The AC will also assist our healthcare advocates with essential data tracking and reporting to ensure operational efficiency.

Every day the AC makes a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve in the music industry. This critical role is not just about coordination — it’s an opportunity for growth. Education and Experience

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, mental health, and/or the music industry.

Additional Information

Benefits

  • The salary range is $ 35K-$45K, commensurate with experience.
  • MHA operates on a hybrid schedule and is open from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. The Advocate Coordinator works in the office Mon-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Fridays.
  • This is a full-time position and includes health, dental, and vision benefits.
