Job Summary

LaunchTN seeks an Administrative Coordinator for the Capital Team to oversee metrics collection, compliance, and reporting primarily related to our latest and most active fund, InvestTN. This position will work within LaunchTN’s Capital Team and closely with LaunchTN’s Chief Investment Officer to ensure all program requirements are being met and objectives are being tracked according to state and federal guidelines, with compilation and reporting being managed via various systems. 

LaunchTN is a 501c3 nonprofit partnership building an ecosystem of support for every startup and investor in Tennessee. As a public-private partnership, we are uniquely positioned to provide direct investment, while also supporting collaboration among founders, investors, researchers, private sector institutions, and government. We foster entrepreneurship, technology advancement, and workforce development by providing capital access, commercialization support, and connections.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop recurring and one-time reports and storage protocols for internal and external use (i.e. to satisfy requirements for program compliance/reporting; to ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws)
  • Maintain spreadsheets and other tools used in data compliance
  • Participate in maintaining the organization’s databases
  • Track all items related to individual investment deals with legal counsel, and ensure compliance
  • Work directly with the Chief Investment Officer to ensure applicable timelines are met
  • When needed, work directly with LaunchTN’s legal service provider

Potential Indicators of Success:

  • Service-oriented with a genuine interest in working for a not-for-profit organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the work described 
  • Advanced familiarity with relational database management and integrations (i.e. Airtable platform, Zapier workflow automation, or similar)
  • Google Suite user experience
  • Strong command of technology as a tool for organizational success and an interest in effective utilization of technology (CRM, Google Sheets, Excel, etc.)
  • Effective communicator who is extremely organized and detail-oriented 
  • Ability to work with data to generate insights and present information in the form of reports and dashboards
  • Time management and adherence to deadlines
