June 5, 2024 & June 6, 2024 - 9:00 AM - 2:30 PM (CST)
Facilitator: Dr. Bernard Turner
The fundraising environment is more competitive than ever, making it essential to understand what it takes to write grant proposals that lead to funding.
This intensive, Intensive Two-Day Grant Writing Boot Camp will take participants step-by-step through the development of an actual grant proposal that they provide in the form of a proposal they are working on or a grant that they have identified that they would like to apply for. Participants will submit a concept paper before the workshop to facilitate feedback.
Attendees will gain a greater understanding of the key components of a winning grant proposal and end the workshop with a completed proposal to bring back to their organization and a textbook for future reference.
(Nonprofit professionals with grant writing experience or who have attended previous grant writing workshops would be good candidates for this session.)
In this two-day boot camp, participants will:
- Review the key elements of a winning grant proposal
- Refine a real grant proposal including needs statement, goals, objectives and sustainability plan
- Get instruction, advice and feedback from an experienced grant writing professional
- Utilize feedback from fellow attendees to make their concept paper stronger
- Collaborate and network with peers and share grant writing insights
Note: The registration fee includes lunch for each day and a textbook.
Full participation in the Intensive Two-Day Grant Writing Boot Camp is applicable for 10 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
