Revenue Development & Fundraising Certificate with facilitator Michelle Conn

2/1, 2/15, and 3/1/2022

Asking for money can be hard; ensuring that you have the money necessary to provide your programs and services is essential to helping the people counting on you. The Revenue Development & Fundraising Certificate is comprised of three core classes and three electives, giving time for each participant to truly explore the elements of fundraising in depth. Through a cohort model, nonprofit development professionals will build a connected community with a culture of learning and feedback. Participants will learn best practices in the field and walk away with a fundraising plan ready for implementation.

(To complete the Revenue Development & Fundraising Certificate, complete the three core workshops plus three elective workshops. You may choose any three additional CNM workshop to fulfill your elective requirement. To sign up, register for Part 1 and you will automatically be enrolled in the three core workshops.)

In the second session, participants will dive deeper into the cycle of development - the process through which we identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward the gifts from major investors to our organizations. From the homework and activities in the first session, participants will begin to develop their own organizational fundraising plans.

Learning Objectives:
•    Identify donors for focused cultivation/continued relationship
•    Develop cultivation/engagement strategies
•    Determine who and how to ask for financial support

Part 3: Strategic Communication - 3/1/2022 (9:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST)

In this highly interactive final session, participants will “put it all together.” Participants will give an overview talk highlighting the nonprofit they represent, make an ask, and share their fundraising plans. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their development by practicing skills learned and receive real-time coaching and feedback to ensure immediate transferability to the workplace!

Learning Objectives:
•    Give a compelling and engaging overview talk to draw donors into their work
