Job Summary

The Village at Glencliff is a transformational respite program created to provide our friends experiencing homelessness with a dignified, loving, and hospitable community after a hospitalization. All staff employed by The Village are expected to reflect organizational values in all interactions with program participants. 

The Volunteer/Hospitality Manager has two main responsibilities: 

(1) coordination of all volunteers/organizations wishing to provide services to The Village, and 

(2) creation of a robust daily program of services for participants that will engage them physically, mentally, and spiritually while in our program.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a database of volunteers, including volunteers’ employer/home church and scope of tasks completed
  • Partner agency relations
  • Coordinate the activities of volunteers on-site,including providing new/prospective volunteers with facility tours
  • Solicit volunteers for specific projects on an as-needed basis
  • Ensure that all volunteers and their supporting organizations are appropriately thanked for their contributions to The Village
  • Create, maintain, and update a program of daily activities for all friends staying at The Village
  • Ensure that daily activities are tailored to the needs of everyone staying at The Village and that no one is left without the opportunity to create and enjoy community while with us.
  • Maintain Universal Precautions
  • Comply with health, safety and first aid requirements
  • Comply with all Village at Glencliff policies 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Understanding and acceptance of The Village at Glencliff mission and vision
  • Ability to work within a diverse community and appreciate different perspectives
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
  • Willingness to be a team player
  • College degree
  • Three – five years of experience strongly preferred
  • Adept with Microsoft Office software
  • Lived experience of homelessness and/or behavioral health issues is an asset and may offset degree and work experience requirements

Additional Information

Benefits

This position will be given an additional 21% for health insurance. ($10,500)
