Job Summary
The Volunteer Assistant will provide support to the Volunteer Services Manager and serve as the onsite contact for the Volunteer Community at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage volunteer onboarding checklist ensuring that volunteers have completed educational and medical requirements for serving at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospitals
- Maintain all volunteer records in the volunteer database, Volgistics
- Create and run reports from the volunteer database
- Provide support for annual volunteer events and activities which include Annual Volunteer Training and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
- Support and assist volunteers ensuring they have the tools required to be successful in their role
- In collaboration with the Volunteer Services team, plan volunteer engagement events and communication efforts
- Implement onsite volunteer engagement activities
- Send special occasion cards to volunteers
- Manage and maintain the volunteer office
Qualifications
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
Experience working with volunteers preferred.
