Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide critical leadership to Operation Andrew Group’s education initiative United4Hope. United4Hope connects churches to public schools to see our students thrive and our communities transformed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establish new and strengthen healthy relationships with school district leadership and staff.
  • Guide high-quality program development, implementation, and growth.
  • Be the organizational expert on educational initiatives for Tennessee and its counties.
  • Create and implement trainings for coordinators, volunteers, and district staff, on topics ranging from recruitment, cultural humility, SEL, literacy, and new areas as identified.
  • Design and maintain a program communication plan, as well as function as the primary point of contact and program expert for both school liaisons and church coordinators.
  • Facilitate annual events and meetings between church and school partners.
  • Identify, develop, and implement engaging and rigorous programming that supports the collective vision of the school districts, schools, and congregations.
  • Oversee administration of the program, including materials, program constituent records, and program-specific grant writing and outcome management.
  • Participate in other OAGroup program initiatives as needed and other duties as we adapt to meet the needs of our partners.
  • Encourage a culture and community of collaboration within the OAGroup team.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasionally represent OAGroup on Sundays at local church ministry fairs and other events as needed.
  • Hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, one remote. Office days and hours are subject to change to adapt to the needs of the ministries.
  • Office hours are 8:30-4:30, but some occasional evening and weekend hours necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in education or human services related field; Master’s degree encouraged or relevant professional or lived experience
  • 3-5 years program development and management in education or nonprofit field
  • Experience working in an environment with diverse audiences, denominations, and cultures preferred
  • Self-starter, process and detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and relationships
  • Work on projects independently as well as collaborating with the team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience or willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canvas, Vimeo, and Little Green Light (CRM)
