Job Responsibilities
What Is This Job All About?
- You will provide need-driven, individualized, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive interpretation services for Spanish-speaking patients.
- Interpreting for clinical visits such as provider office visits, nurse visits, counseling visits, psychiatric provider visits, calling patients, assisting with medical referrals, etc.
Qualifications
What We Need from You:
- High School Diploma or GED is required along with 2-3 years of translation experience in a medical facility in a healthcare business office.
- Medical Interpreter/Translation certification is required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Must be fluent (oral and written) in both Spanish and English with a strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to accurately collect patient information.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Excellent communication both on the phone and in person.
- Provide outstanding customer service to meet the needs of patients.
