Job Summary

This isn’t just a job, it’s a calling; furthering Cross Point’s mission to help people find and follow Jesus. Cross Point needs a Social Media Manager who is responsible for the implementation and execution of the Cross Point Communications and Social Media Strategy. This position will be responsible for the deployment of content across social media mediums and platforms for all Cross Point Ministries and Campuses.

Job Responsibilities

● You’ll manage social media platforms, including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok. Predominantly ideating, organizing, writing, scheduling, posting and reporting on content.
● Utilize tools to schedule and plan social media under the direction of the Marketing Director and the Communications Director, in collaboration with the Art and Content teams.
● Report on and draw insights from social media data to better inform future content, goals and strategy in collaboration with the Communications Director
● Drive social media plans and content calendars, developing campaigns.
● Oversee responses to all social media interactions, with the help of volunteers, ensuring all posts are being responded to in a timely and intentional manner.
● Assist in the ideation and curation of content. Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and delegate the responsibility effectively to all applicable team members and volunteers involved.
● Recruit and manage a Social Media volunteer team, to support the development and execution of Social Media strategy – providing guidance and feedback to them.
● Ensure all social media content is in alignment with the overall strategic Communications Strategy.


● Excellent written communication skills, time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
● Ability to spot social trends, algorithm shifts and updates in digital technologies with capacity to act proactively to these, report to relevant teammates and include in future content ideation.
● Understanding of social media metrics. Able to monitor and interact on all channels, and interpret social analytics, taking action to increase effectiveness of campaigns.
● Humble, honest and teachable leader with a servant’s heart.
● Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with a highly collaborative approach to work and creation.
● Heart for helping people find and follow Jesus via social media through content that is evangelistic, disciples current believers and is also inspirational/challenging.
● Ability to condense and repurpose longer-form pieces of information into bite-sizeable, impactful social media content.
● Team-player capable of fostering relational influence.
● Capable of delegating tasks to both volunteer and contract team members.
● Prefer someone with a college degree in communications, social media, writing or a similar relevant degree area.
● 3+ years of relevant social media management related experience.
