Job Summary

Call Center Operator for The Tennessee REDLINE which is a toll-free information and referral line coordinated by TAADAS and funded by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Services. The purpose of the REDLINE is to provide accurate, up-to-date alcohol, drug, problem gambling, and other addiction information and referrals to all citizens of Tennessee at their request. The Redline provides referrals for Co-Occurring A&D disorders that arise along with Mental Health disorders.

Job Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

Front Desk/Daily Operations

  • Answer multiple phone lines/route calls or assist callers
  • Assists with preparation of meeting, training, or membership packets and distributes as directed
  • Assist with staff projects such as bulk mailings, inventorying office supplies, copying, faxing and other general office duties as assigned
  • All interactions in all areas of responsibility will be professional, courteous and supportive

Redline Responsibilities

  • Answer REDLINE as assigned; REDLINE responsibilities are primary and should always super cede any Clearinghouse or Bookstore support
    • Provide confidential, alcohol, tobacco and other drug information and referral resources according to REDLINE manual
    • Report any incorrect provider information, service trends or urgent issues to supervisor promptly

Clearinghouse and Bookstore Support

  • Participates with inventories as assigned
  • Assist Clearinghouse, Library and Bookstore customers using videomate software
  • Assist with checks of video drop box – process and shelve returns
  • Assists with documenting the number of Walk-ins/Video Rentals/Library check outs for the month as well as other reports as requested regarding Clearinghouse use
  • Assists with check out of equipment
  • Assist with stocking and other tasks as assigned
  • Assist free literature clearinghouse orders, including boxing and shipping

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Basic computer skills

Good organizational and time management skills

Call center experience or skills preferred

Knowledge of substance abuse preferred
