Job Summary

The Programming Director is responsible for leading our programs and ministries team. This is a skilled and strong, experienced leader of both people and programs; and is able to do so with poise, grace, and strength. The ideal candidate is confident in making decisions, leading teams, and serving in executive leadership.

Job Responsibilities

Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties:

  • Lead a staff of 6-8 people in the following roles: Mobile Ministry Director, Volunteer Coordinator, Food Program Drivers, Student and Kids Director, Elementary and Middle School Coordinators
  • Conduct weekly program staff meetings to ensure that all ministries and community outreach programs are cohesive and serving entire families well
  • Conduct monthly meetings with each team member 1:1 to ensure that all program leads are confident in their roles and responsibilities
  • Approve community-based events in all aspects (volunteers, organizations involved, purpose, resources needed, safety requirements)
  • Meet with the Executive Director 1:1 each week to ensure that programs and ministries are running smoothly in accordance with expectations
  • Cultivate relationships with ministry partners
  • Lead the implementation of new programs or the change of existing programs

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all program leaders are keeping rosters, attendance records, grant data, and curriculum up to date
  • Work with the volunteer coordinator to ensure that all volunteers’ background checks are up to date and that all safety standards are being met and upheld in programs and events (both internal and external)
  • Develop reports to bring to bi-weekly executive team meetings and give summaries of programs, staff, and volunteers

Qualifications

Requirements/Skills/Abilities

  • Experienced at leading teams and developing cohesive team environments
  • **This job requires the employee to be flexible, a self-starter, and willing to lead where others can’t
  • Have the ability to remain highly organized while multitasking, executing community events, and carrying out strategic direction; teachable and adaptable to new situations
  • Act as a humble and honest leader with a servant’s heart
  • Demonstrate Christian values and exhibit a relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Adhere to all employee relation standards in order to maintain a cohesive team environment
  • **Heavy lifting, alternative schedules, and crisis management are all part of the job as well
  • 5+ years of experience
