Who We Are

Rock The Street, Wall Street is a financial and investment literacy program designed to spark the interest of a diverse group of high school girls into careers of finance. Our fast-paced not for profit is fueled by our own experience, our understanding of how to engage our students and audiences, and our relentless passion to make improvements for future generations. Our extracurricular program is offered in 50 public high schools across 28 US and Canadian cities To date, we have empowered over 3,000 girls across the US with the tools to manage their own personal finances as well as put them on a trajectory to a career in finance. 


Job Responsibilities

Job Description

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:


• Develop compelling messaging plans including strategy, goals and tactics


• Strengthen and develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in broadcast and online and print media


• Identify and Coordinate all public relations opportunities 


• Direct social media team to engage audiences across all media channels


* MUST HAVE proficiency in Google Adwords and Google analytics


• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media


• Identify and Manage media inquiries, interview and speaker requests, events that we should attend, etc and can coordinate and schedule calendars.


• Create content for press releases, newsletters, blogs, byline articles, keynote presentations, workbooks, etc


*Utilize out database of photos, logos, branding materials and other assets to assist in getting our message out


• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results


• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships on an on-going basis.


• Build relationships that continue to grow industry awareness of RTSWS  and Founder as thought leaders in their field


• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them





• Experience designing and executing successful public relations/ marketing campaigns at both a local and national level


• Decisive but able to compromise and work with a team


• Can work in a fast-paced environment. Flexible and willing to jump in on other projects when needed


• Shows passion for RTSWS and our Mission and is eager to contribute 


• Certified in Google Ad Words and Google Analytics or at least expert level of understanding


• able to build strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets


• Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews


• Exceptional writing and editing skills


• Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.


• Project Manager and Event planning experience


• Willingness to try new things and take on challenges


• Podcast experience is a plus


Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns 
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
  • Proficient with Google Suite of products
  • Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
  • Proven experience designing interactive applications and networking platforms
  • Established press and media contacts
