Job Summary
Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA) is looking for a part time grant coordinator to support its new Powered by Youth grant, which will bring youth voices from Nashville to national platforms to shape the future of afterschool.
NAZA’s mission is to increase youths’ equitable access to out-of-school time learning experiences that help youth thrive and develop to their full potential.
- Project Duration: May 2022 through June 2023
- Weekly hours: Up to 20
- Pay rate of $15/hour
- Work performed in a hybrid environment
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in regular meetings with national grantors
- Engage with Community of Practice
- Attend weekly meetings with youth grant participants
- Attend weekly meetings with NAZA Partnerships Manager and NAZA Youth Community Advisor
- Track grant spending using tools provided by NAZA Partnerships Manager
- Assist in scheduling and planning grant related events
- Support the group of 10 young people
- Be in on-going and proactive communication with the funder about progress including challenges
- Report on activities and lessons learned
- Contribute to on-going lesson sharing and communications within the community of practice and for broader field
Qualifications
- 18 years or older with at least a high school diploma
- Interest in leadership
- Previous grant or budget experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Experience with out-of-school time, including as a former participant
