The UC Quality Assurance and PSA Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting and managing quality assurance work for child welfare, as well as training compliance with Preventing Sexual Abuse (PSA). Individuals who serve in this role at the regional level will oversee quality assurance for over 100 beds, while effectively interfacing with clients whose primary language is not English and in some cases is of an indigenous origin.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain efficient operations within the office by ensuring that activities are being completed in a timely manner;
  • Use the various information management systems to meet essential functions of position;
  • Develop SA/SIRs in compliance with the Prevention Sexual Abuse (PSA) policy, while demonstrating a clear understanding of external resources;
  • Serve as the lead for quality assurance, and PSA related tasks for the respective location or region;
  • Attend and actively participate in events, training, staff meetings, etc. as required;
  • Assess the performance and compliance of child welfare programs;
  • Ensure timely and accurate response to stakeholders with all data requests;
  • Effectively collect and review data from all incident reports in a timely manner, while creating reports for the National Quality

  • Maintain and submit the monthly ORR required spreadsheets;
  • Create and submit quarterly audit reports for 10% or more of portal files using standardized tools;
  • Participate in quarterly site visits to prepare for ORR monitoring and audit evaluations;
  • Create and deliver follow up reports related to visiting the National Quality Assurance headquarters;
  • Ensure policy update reports are delivered from National Quality Assurance;
  • Collect policy call notes to send to National Quality Assurance on a regular basis;
  • Respond to policy questions and data inquiries from staff and stakeholders in a timely manner;
  • Manage client exit surveys in client’s native language, while reviewing the data collected and creating a report to be distributed to designated leaders;
  • Manage post reunification follow-up calls with the families in the program;
  • Stay up to date on all required PSA training, while also ensuring all staff are up to date in accordance with agency and contract requirements;
  • Assist with document language translation for agency procedures and practices related to preventing sexual maltreatment for UC youth in care;
  • Maintain all reporting distribution lists specific to the needs of the site;
  • Regularly audit physical files to ensure compliance with policy;
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field of study from an accredited college;
  • At least one (1) year of experience in child welfare services, preferred;
  • Prior knowledge of state foster care procedures and case management protocol, a plus;
  • Prior experience using the full Microsoft Suite of services, and proficient in MS Excel;
  • Demonstrated ability with analytics and process improvement; • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks;
  • Exercise a high level of confidentiality;
  • Proven knowledge of ORR policy and ability to navigate policy resources.
  • Possess a willingness to continually learn new policy and procedures and train others on policy protocol;
  • Proven experience in all aspects of data collection and reporting;
  • Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service to a diverse population;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a remote team people while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions;
  • Active motor vehicle license and a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Cultural Diversity Commitment.
