Job Summary
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The school-based therapist provides counseling services in a timely manner to students who are experiencing behavioral and/or mental health difficulties.
Job Responsibilities
The therapist may also provide family counseling and group counseling. Other duties include: attending meetings, maintaining records, and providing consultation to school staff as needed. Responds to school crises as necessary.
Qualifications
REQUIRED: LCSW Experience with children and teens.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, clinical psychology or another related field.
- Two years of post-graduate work experience with youth and their families in a clinical setting
- Must be licensed in : LMFT, LPC-MHSP, LCSW, etc.
- Must have the ability to be contracted with most insurance payers
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Must be committed to and live Mercy’s mission, vision and core values
