Job Summary
IMMEDIATE NEED – teacher for small kindergarten pod. Students all attend different schools and have different abilitiy levels. Teacher is responsible for helping students navigate virtual learning at their respective schools and provide additional, fun learning experiences when not in class or completing assigned work.
Teacher must be very COVID – conscious as the group of families have various high-risk factors. Mask must be worn over nose and mouth by the teacher at all times.
The position is currently 4 days/week, with the parents teaching the other day. The days may change weekly depending on assigned parent’s schedule.
The hours are 7:30-3:30 with kids arriving at 7:45 and departing around 3.
Job Responsibilities
Teacher must be timely and prepared daily. The teacher will help students navigate their daily lessons. When students are not in class or completing assigned work, the teacher will work with students one-on-one or in a small group to propel them forward in their knowledge and skill base. Resources for teaching will be provided. The classroom is equipped with a white board, chalk wall, reading nook, open classroom space, separate space for when students are in-class, as well as a gym. There are many books, games, art supplies, science/tech equipment and other resources available.
Teacher is also responsible for daily cleaning in order to maintain a safe environment for learners and the teacher.
Qualifications
Kindergarten/Elementary experience REQUIRED
Teacher must be culturally competent, an effective communicator, have proven ability to think creatively and differentiate learning. Teacher should be energectic and a great communicator.
