Job Summary
This is a non-Civil Service position in the Office of Family Safety and will provide case management to individuals and/or families who are victims of interpersonal personal violence to meet various needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Typical Duties

- Provide comprehensive trauma-informed case management services to victims served by the Family Safety Center.
- Pre-screen referred individuals to assess applicability for the program.
- Determine needs and formulate weekly and monthly case plans to address needs.
- Manage client intakes, session documentation, and assessments.
- Monitor clients’ progress toward client-centered goals.
- Advocate and refer clients to a variety of community resources.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team to update and monitor client progress.
- Facilitate effective communication with service providers and clients.
- Identify and facilitate meaningful community partnerships with relevant providers.
- Provide weekly community-based client meetings.
- Provide support for clients for legal proceedings, as needed.
- Perform program evaluation and need analysis studies in order to identify programmatic needs.
- Input and manage client files and data in a timely manner.
- Provide information for quarterly grant reporting.
- Engage in ongoing client meetings and training, as required.
- Comply with Metro Nashville Ethical Standards and the Office of Family Safety’s direct service provision guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications
-
- Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited college or university
- Understanding of interpersonal violence (human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, stalking, and child abuse)
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals who have experienced abuse.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to engage in positive collaborations with partners
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in facilitating a trauma-informed environment
- Ability to recognize and maintain appropriate boundaries
- Ability to maintain confidentially
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with data entry and grant reporting
- Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Masters’ Degree in related field
- Access to flexible means of transportation
- Problem solver; highly efficient; detail-oriented
- Previous experience working with victims of interpersonal violence (human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, stalking, and child abuse)
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Fluency in another language, preferably Spanish
