Job Summary

THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BASED IN NASHVILLE, TN

Siskin Children’s Institute (SCI) is seeking a Fundraising Manager throughout the Nashville area. The Fundraising Manager is accountable for producing significant annual increases in the number of donors to SCI at all gift levels. 

Job Responsibilities

– Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward new individuals to build your donor portfolio to at least 250 donors and prospects

– Identify and cultivate new major donor prospects, $1,000 – $100,000

– Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of major donors, both new and prospective, with a minimum standard of five meetings per       week with donors and prospects. Please note that face to face solicitations will be the main part of your position and should encompass the majority of your       time

– Manage and oversee the Nashville steering committee. Plan and execute bimonthly meetings and work to fill the committee with passionate, hardworking         volunteers

– Create/implement SCI fundraising and friend- raising events

– Participate in community events to enhance knowledge of SCI in the Nashville market

– Enter all touch points and activities in our donor database, in addition, manage the database to keep donor information current

– Potential evening and weekend meetings

– Potential travel to Chattanooga, TN

– Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 

– 5+ years fundraising or sales experience

– Preference given to a candidate with several years of experience working/volunteering in the Nashville nonprofit community

– Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and speaking

– Creative, dependable, self-disciplined individual who is capable of minimal on-site supervision

– Superior problem solving, organization and time management skills

– Ability to work nights and weekends as needed, depending on scheduled SCI events and donor, prospect and lay leadership schedules.

– Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce)

– Experience planning/managing in person events a plus
