Job Summary
Mission: The Refuge Center exists to offer excellent, accessible, and affordable mental and emotional healthcare services in support of a transformational impact on communities.
Purpose of the Position: The Front Desk Administrative Assistant is responsible for “front line” connection with Refuge clients and/or future clients as well as scheduling intakes, managing the waitlist, and scheduling appointments for intakes.
Job Responsibilities
Specific Duties
- Answer inbound phone calls and return voicemails.
- Schedule new client intake appointments.
- Assist client with general questions about The Refuge Center and counseling processes.
- Provide support for the Hospitality Coordinator by providing assistance for walk-in clients, as needed, and maintaining hard copies of client intake paperwork, etc.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, or Front Desk Supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings on the 3rd and 4th Tuesdays.
- Communicate general clinical information, when appropriate.
- Respond to emergency calls and mandated reporting needs according to established procedures and sound judgment.
- Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Perform duties in a professional manner while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative demeanor to clients, co-workers, management, and the public.
- Maintain strict confidentiality both internally and externally.

- Ability to be self-directed and show initiative.
- Maintain ethical documentation.
Qualifications
Skills, Education, Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a clinical setting.
- One year of case management experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple schedules based on individual preferences and guidelines.
