Job Summary
Manage day-to-day financial operations of the church.
Job Responsibilities
- Reconciles bank statements for all accounts
- Processes accounts payable
- Processes credit card and ACH transactions
- Posts deposits and receipts to general ledger
- Assists with posting contributions to individual parishioners’ accounts
- Coordinates fieldwork with 3rd party auditors
- Prepares and processes payroll
- Prepares and processes payroll taxes
- Prepares quarterly 941’s as well as year end reporting for IRS
- Prepares monthly Treasurer’s Report
- Provides monthly expenditure reports for staff as requested
- Handles all supply purchasing
- For St. George’s Bookstore:
- Prepares all deposits
- Processes accounts payable
- Maintains perpetual inventory records
- Conducts annual physical inventory count
- Prepares, reports, and pays quarterly sales tax liability
- Maintains general ledger
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience managing financial operations
- Proficient using ACS, Quickbooks, and Microsoft Office Excel
- Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate within a team-oriented environment
- Creativity, adaptability, and resourcefulness
