Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

MOBC’s Family Success Network Project Director will help lead MOBC teams and partners to work together to

connect and engage with clients, assess and advocate for community need, lift community voice, and deliver

convenient, comprehensive and innovative programming and supports to meet the needs of all families in Cayce

Place Homes and surrounding East Nashville community.  Using the Promise Neighborhood initiative as a

framework, this role will evaluate community data, recruit partner support, and facilitate community-based

working groups that will work to analyze need, brainstorm services, gather evidenced-based best practices, and

prepare strategic plans for future work and funding.  In addition, this manager will also be an active participant of

the Family Success Network team, supporting its efforts through community and partner outreach, data collection

and analysis, systems building and reforming, and contract compliance.

Job Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Ecosystem Alignment

  • Works with MOBC leadership to update and expand MOBC’s previous needs assessment that reflects both the community’s aspirations and the goals of Promise Neighborhood including, but not limited to, education, employment, safety, health and wellness, connectivity, and social capital.
  • Populates this assessment with current, readily available information.
  • Serves as lead on community-based survey assessment by gathering questions, training staff and volunteers, and ensuring completion and fidelity of process.
  • Synthesizes, analyzes, and segments initial information.
  • Recruits, organizes and oversees Ecosystem Working Groups.  Anticipated groups include Early Learning, Elementary, Middle School, High School, Employment, Health, Wellness, and Safety, and an Ecosystem Advisory Council.
  • Co-Facilitates, with MOBC and partner leadership, working groups.  Helps in working group recruitment.
  • Assists working groups in examination of needs assessment.
  • Helps working group strategize interventions and/or supports that can be provided to meet described need.
  • Utilizes intervention ideas to find evidence-based models that meet DOE and funder standards.
  • Builds out budget and logistics for interventions.
  • Prioritizes initiatives per working group.
  • Develops logic models based on strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborates with MOBC leadership, and partners, to develop holistic plan for defying that works towards best practices, in data storage, integration, and synthetization within a data driven culture.
  • Works with MOBC to craft competitive applications that lift up community and working group priorities, including, that meet the goals of the working groups and help raise funding support to the working group partners.

 

 

Family Success Network Capacity Building Support

  • Assists with collection and analysis of data for Family Success Network reporting, contract compliance and outcome performance. 
  • Manages process of data collection; provides training, creates dashboards and visuals, and utilizes evidence-based supports and interventions to ensure data driven programming. 
  • Leads oversite of MOBC’s new Salesforce and ECM data system, as it is built out by partner TechBridge.
  • Directly supervises MOBC’s Data Manager & Analyst (FSN).
  • Regularly audits files and reports to ensure grant and contract compliance.
  • Actively makes efforts to seek out and meet with other local community resources partners that could informally collaborate with the FSN to provide additional services and supports to those in the FSN.
  • Facilitates flow of information and integration by attending and/or conducting meetings with other Martha O’Bryan Center staff members, community partners, and others.
  • Assist with creating, organizing and facilitating interconnected projects of MOBC’s Family Success Network.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or social work preferred.

The special demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a staff member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Occasional local travel (10-20%).
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
