Job Summary
Executive Director of Operations provides systems and operations management expertise for The Upper Room (TUR). This position requires innovative and competent leadership skills that can manage multiple teams, including personnel engaged with TUR fulfillment systems, customer service, web and systems development, vendor management, budgeting, analytics/metrics, operations project management, and operations team development.
Job Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities include strategic planning for application systems, implementation support, development and execution of end-user training, process management and improvement, evaluation of new technologies and other duties in coordination with CIO of Discipleship Ministries.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and application of management, and project management, including planning, organizing, strategic thinking, training, team building, budget administration, and decision making; strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated cultural and diversity sensitivity; commitment to continuous innovation and improvement. Strong working knowledge of publishing systems, including the distribution for books, magazines, and multi-platform content, and list management; knowledge of and ability to manage and provide support for multiple systems, including publishing finance. Knowledge of application management and support for software applications; working knowledge of voice systems and computer telephone integration. Must provide leadership and direction to support customer support telecommunications systems, local and remote access to TUR systems, file/databases and other related technical support in coordination with the CIO.
