Job Summary

Directs the day-to-day operations of Kid's Place Child Advocacy Center through managing a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to children who are survivors of abuse and their families through coordinated inter-agency investigation, intervention,education and advocacy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, management, vision, and best practice methods to ensure that the mission and core values of the agency are in practice.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of staff member's, interns, and volunteers.
  • Supervises the Clinical Director who is in charge of all clinical programs.
  • Ensures that the CAC meets funder and accreditation requirements, which includes but is not limited to maintaining documentation and submitting reports as required.
  • Performs fiscal management of the organization, including but not limited to authorizing bill payments, ensuring that fiscal reports are completed as required and submitted to the Board of Directors for review and approval on a regular basis.
  • Prepares and submits annual draft budget to Board of Directors for approval.
  • Works collaboratively with staff and the Board of Directors.
  • Prepares the agenda for monthly board meetings. Attends all Board meetings and Board committee meetings. Provides information to the Board of Directors as needed.
  • Identifies funding opportunities that align with the agency mission and prepares funding applications as needed.
  • Maintains positive relationships with various stakeholders, including members of the CAC’s multidisciplinary team.
  • Attends monthly multidisciplinary meetings. Provides oversight of multidisciplinary team meetings and relationships, casemanagement, community outreach, and varied committees.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal mandates and standards as required.
  • Assists in continuous quality improvement of protocols, policiesand procedures both internally and externally with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Serves as the main media contact and represents Kid's Place in the community through varied committee and public relation engagements to increase awareness of programming, education and advocacy for victims.
  • Coordinates professional training for MDT, CAC staff, and volunteers as needed.
  • Provides support, information and referral, advocacy and other direct service activities to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members as needed.
  • Must be able to travel between the four CAC centers operated by Kid's Place.
  • Maintains accreditation standards set by the National Children’sAlliance.
  • Attends required annual specialized training.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to maintain operations at Kid's Place Child Advocacy Center and/or assigned by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 3 years administrative and supervisory experience.
  • Preferred prior experience working in non-profit organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with professionals of a variety of disciplines.
  • Development/fundraising experience appreciated
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point,Quick-books.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills. Knowledge of the dynamics of child abuse and neglect.
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
  • Ability to understand financial information and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to be flexible, work under pressure, and other skills required for crisis intervention services.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Satisfactory criminal background investigation is a condition of employment

Benefits

Job Type:

Full time, exempt

Minimum 40 hours per week, some evening and weekend hours required due to needs of the center.

Salary Range:

$55,000 – $65,000 per year based on training and experience.
