Job Summary

University School of Nashville seeks a friendly and tech-savvy Database Systems Manager with a customer-service mindset to support all system, programming, and management of the e-commerce web platform for USN’s Evening Classes, a continuing education program for lifelong learners in the Nashville community. Evening Classes is run by USN’s parent and family organization, USNA, and all proceeds are donated to the school’s K-12 need-based scholarship fund. The Database Systems Manager will join a fine-tuned team of staff and volunteers who make Evening Classes an engaging community success each year.

Job Responsibilities

This Database Systems Manager position is part-time seasonal, non-exempt, and reports to the USNA and Evening Classes Program Administrator. The Evening Classes office is especially busy during the time leading up to and immediately following our catalog registration launch, typically November through January each year. The Database Systems Manager is the primary technology and systems presence for the program, often on-call while the program is actively running December through April. The time requirement is generally 20 hours per week and can fluctuate to 30 hours per week during peak times. This position is available beginning in September 2021.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, some college is preferred
  • Proficiency with technology, web systems, and databases required
  • Experience with e-commerce and event management systems similar to Wild Apricot, Configio, Cvent, Salesforce, and Blackbaud is preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills, both in person and on the phone
  • Work productively with minimum supervision, demonstrate initiative when unsupervised, and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Be a team player and work collaboratively with members of the USN community
