Enrollment and Family Engagement Director maintains enrollment and educates parents, and community leaders on the incredible value of early childhood education and how we build strong foundations to give healthy starts.
The Enrollment and Family Engagement Director should possess outstanding relationship skills and have a calling for working with children and families. S/he must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to work collaboratively with educators/staff, parents, and community members. This full-time, full-year position is part of the management team of McNeilly Center for Children and reports to the Executive Director.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum enrollment by utilization of all conceivable means of recruitment
- Work with individual families to encourage, motivate, and assist the family in its own effort to improve the conditions and quality of family life
- Assist families in carrying out health referrals and other social service recommendations
- Maintain a concise up-to-date family service record on each assigned student
- Develop, and connect partnerships and programs that improve student and family educational and social-emotional outcomes
- Promotes family involvement and advocacy throughout the program
- Attends parent meetings/training
- Demonstrate positive and professional work habits
- Manage parent relations: interpret and communicate policies originated from Parent Handbook, communicate other information from staff to parents on issues or incidents, mediate between staff and parents, counsel with parents, and refer applicable services.
- Coordinate speech/language, hearing vision, and dental screening at least annually.
- Complete end-of-the-month reports.
- Reports directly to the Executive Director
- Assist with other center-related duties as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or associate degree in Sociology, Social Work, or Education from an accredited college or university. Valid Driver’s License.
Two years minimum social work and family engagement experience
Experience working with low-income families
Experience with engaging families and setting family goals
Ability to be a responsive listener
Knowledge of health and medical terms
