Job Summary

Catholic Charities has an opening for the position of Employment Specialist in its Refugee and Immigration Services Department.  This position is full-time and located at the Catholic Pastoral Center at 2806 McGavock Pike, Nashville, TN 37214.  Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday but flexibility is required outside of these hours, including nights and weekends on occasion.

Job Responsibilities

The primary functions of this position are to identify and recruit potential employers; conduct assessments of experience, skills and work limitations with clients; provide job readiness training; assist clients in completing applications and securing employment; provide transportation for clients as needed; aid in job orientations and bus trainings; provide follow-up services to ensure success of job placement; and complete necessary paperwork documenting effort and placement.



  • College degree required
  • Experience working across cultures preferred
  • Experience working with employers preferred
  • Driver’s license, good driving history, and reliable transportation required
