Job Summary

The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) Donor Services Coordinator assists with programming, communications and special projects for the Donor Services team. CFMT provides personalized charitable solutions to help make a difference and enrich the community by connecting generosity with need. Our team is dedicated and passionate about the work we do.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and Oversee the Tomorrow Fund, the Bonnaroo Works Fund, and other funds as assigned by the Vice President of Donor Services including facilitation of donor emails, calls and questions about grants and/or the granting process, the creation of agendas for monthly board meetings, organizing special projects, web updates, YP Nashville meetings and other relevant engagement.
  • Develop appropriate timelines and protocol for the overall workflow and services of the Donor Services team as it relates to end-of-year giving, donor stewardship, portfolio management and deadlines for administration of scholarships and grants.
  • Assist in administrative duties related to the establishment and maintenance of Funds, particularly our public/private partnerships, as well as the work of the Vice President of Donor Services.
  • Generate donor reports as it pertains to fund activity, gift/grant histories, financial reconciliations and governance, and overall donor stewardship.
  • Process invoices for the Donor Services team.
  • Research and Conduct grant writing on behalf of all funds and/or initiatives at The Community Foundation in order to continue to make them sustainable.
  • Provide any administrative and/or technical expertise requested including project and grant research, writing and editing administrative documents, participation in project and management teams, etc.
  • Process Giving Card orders and facilitate all related customer service calls and emails including all software updates and operation of the Giving Card printer.
  • Manage invitation and donor mailing lists for CFMT.
  • Oversee the printing of Nametags for CFMT hosted donor stewardship and engagement events as well as all software updates and operation of the nametag printer.
  • Support and provide additional assistance as needed for Donor Services team or other teams with overlapping work in support of donor engagement and assistance.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-service approach.
  • Strong writing and editing expertise.
  • Proven goal-oriented organization and systematic, strategic thinking.
  • Formidable organizational and time-management skills required.
  • Understanding of nonprofit management preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including advanced knowledge of internet applications and databases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the ability to learn new applications.
