Job Summary

General Description: The Development Director will report directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for:

  • Selling TBCC to sponsors, donors, and friends in the community
  • Engaging Board Members to do the same
  • Overseeing all marketing materials, social media, and external relations on behalf of the organization 
  • Working closely with the Event/Social Media Coordinator

Job Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a marketing/fundraising strategy
  • Develop and monitor a donor base to maintain sufficient funding for TBCC
  • Coordinate all public relations endeavors including sponsor meetings, media presentations, press releases, and mailings (brochures, newsletters, invitations, etc.)
  • Update and prepare marketing materials such as annual sponsor booklets for TBCC’s Annual Golf Tournament and Whiskey, Wine & Cider events
  • Coordinate activities with the Executive Director, Event Coordinator, staff, and Board Members related to fund development strategies and events (both internal and external).
  • Coordinate Intern Management

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, non-profit management, or related fields
  • Knowledge of Golf & coordinating golf outings is strongly recommended/helpful but not required
  • Experience in Fund Development is required
  • Strong leadership qualities-ability to coordinate, develop, motivate, and lead others.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team to work collaboratively on executive initiatives
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy is necessary.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Staff, Board, Volunteers, and Donors/Friends in the community
  • Energetic, self-motivated, flexible, and personable
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a small, hands-on environment
  • Team Player with an attitude of service and the ability to motivate others
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop
  • Email/Donor Management database such as Constant Contact and Little Green Light knowledge a plus
